~3 hrs
Partial-day workshop
A concentrated half-day. Good if you're travelling in or fitting it around work.
Program
Parenting & co-parenting classes · Online or in office
A strength-based program for parents bumping up against something hard with their child or teen. You come away with skills and solutions, not a diagnosis of what you've done wrong.
The approach
Parents come together to learn skills that help with raising their children, or with managing a situation with a child or teen that has stopped responding to anything they've tried. The program is strength-based: we start from what's already working in your family and build out from there.
Classes are run to be genuinely useful and genuinely bearable — parents and caregivers learn and laugh in a supportive room. Soon-to-be parents often take them in preparation as well.
The program uses the Non-Violent Communication process alongside needs-based approaches — the same framework behind the coaching method. It's about identifying the need underneath the behaviour, in your child and in yourself.
Curriculum
Topics are covered across the twelve classes. Which ones you take depends on the ages you're parenting and what's happening at home.

Structure and schedule
~3 hrs
A concentrated half-day. Good if you're travelling in or fitting it around work.
~6 hrs
The full day, covering more ground in one sitting with time to work through your own situation.
12
Twelve classes to complete the program and receive your certificate. Taken one to one or in a group.
Flexible scheduling. Available days rotate as classes start and finish, so please ask about current hours rather than assuming a fixed timetable.
Court-mandated requirements
If you're completing a parenting requirement for the court, you'll receive certification on completion of the courses. Tell me at the outset that it's court-related so the program can be set up correctly from the first class.
Which one do I need
A set curriculum, taken alone or with other parents, with a certificate at the end. Best when you want grounding across the whole picture — or when a certificate is required.
One to one, built around goals set for you and your family. Step-by-step help with a specific situation — navigating the teen years, or something happening right now that needs a plan this week.
Neither is therapy, and neither is a substitute for it. Coaching comes from mentoring, guidance and career counselling rather than from clinical practice. If you're unsure which fits, send me a message or call 661-305-8523 and we'll work it out.
Next step
Tell me the ages you're parenting, whether this is court-related, and whether you'd rather be online or in the office. I'll send back the current schedule and what completing it would look like for you.
